What is PCOS and how do you know if you have it?

I know that PCOS=Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome, but how do you know if you have it? Is it common?

Hi, my names ange i may have PCOS iv been reading the symptoms..and possibly i may be going through what your going through..
firstly..here are the symptoms..
* overweight
* facial hair, body hair on chest etc..
* dark patches on underarms. upper thighs..etc
* sleep problems
*oily skin
*thin hair lining on the top of ur hair
*MOST COMMEN – Irregular or none periouds..
* skin tags
If you have any or more of these symtoms i really reccomend u get a blood test for your LHS and FSH , testosterone tc hormone leves
Tell this about ur doctor if you do have them.
