I find the 45-50% hard to believe though, I think it's dependent on how PCOS effects each individual. Not every Woman with PCOS has insulin resistance issues. Insulin resistance is what increases the chance of miscarriage. Currently, there is not enough data on the use of metformin prior to and during pregnancy to give any conclusive answer as to how it impacts your risk of miscarriage. Although, I have found a site which states that the risk can be lowered to 12% with metformin. (bottom link). I’ve read the rates can be as high as 45-50%.
