What are the chances of conceiving naturally with PCOS?

Just wondered because i’ve just found out that i’ve got PCOS
I haven’t had a period since i came off the pill in January. My testosterone level was 5.6 but for someone without PCOS it should only be around 2. The doctor seemed to think that my level was high even for someone with PCOS

It varies for each woman, but generally your chances of conceiving are pretty low. Specifically, women with PCOS have an estimated 4X as high of a miscarriage rate in the first trimester.
I suggest visiting an endocrinologist and talk about medication to start you ovulating. Also ask about the Insulin Resistence diet. A combination of Metformin and this diet helped me to conceive very quickly after being diagnosed with PCOS.
Just as information, my obstetrician instructed me to continue the Metformin medication for the first trimester. Doing so reduces your risk of miscarriage to about that of an average woman.

Diet changes are very important to get rid of pcos… so is good exercises. You might want to also look into progesterone cream.

I don’t know any percentages, but know it can happen.
I had a baby at 30, after two years of marriage, and wasn’t diagnosed with PCOS til much later – though I would have had it since a teenager.
Talk with your gynecologist, and go over options with her, and about any meds if necessary to regulate your periods. If your periods are irregular, that means you aren’t ovulating regularly.
Hi I dont know the percentages but do know my friend had PCOS and she never thought she would have a child took her 18 months and she now has a 3 week old boy so it can happen dont give up
