What are the chances of a full term pregnancy with PCOS?

I just found out I am pregnat (5 weeks). I have PCOS but it is managed by glucophage. What are the chances of miscarriage?

Hey hun! There’s a very good chance to carry a pregnancy to term with PCOS. My doctor told me that getting pregnant was the challenge, not the pregnancy. I’m 12 weeks 1 day pregnant and I have PCOS. Get an ultrasound early between 6-8 weeks to date the pregnancy and check to see if all is well. They told me that once you see and hear a heartbeat, the miscarriage rate goes down to 3%! I saw and heard my lil one’s heartbeat at 6 weeks 3 days pregnant. Good luck with your pregnancy hun!! Think positive
I really don’t think you have any greater a chance for miscarriage than a person without PCOS. The conception is the difficult part. I have PCOS. My son was induced at 37 weeks because of placenta deterioration and so far with this pregnancy I am at 34 weeks with no problems at all. Good luck!
I have PCOS too and am 17 weeks. a full term pregnancy is very possible. You should be monitored by a doctor and get an ultrasound soon ( I got one at 8 weeks). At that time they can tell you your chances of miscarriage. Mine was 2%! So hopefully this will go well and the baby will be healthy. Good luck!
