I am 25 and have been diagnosed with pcos, I have spent a lot of time and energy trying tto get pregnant I just want to know my options. I am not a rich person so don’t tell me that IVF is a way because I can’t afford it, I am covered by chlomid but I don’t know about taking it. Is it safe?

| "Have You Seen Lisa Olson's new Pregnancy System yet? It's called "Pregnancy Miracle" I've read the whole thing (all 250 pages) and there's some great information in there about how to naturally get pregnant without drugs, surgery or any kind of gimmicks. I highly recommend it - it's very honest and straightforward without all the hype and b.s. you see all over the net these days. I have 2 wonderful little boys that are 3 and 5 and i am pregnant. I was diagnosed with PCO at 19. I tried fertility meds and treatments with no luck. The only thing that worked for me (as well as all others I have talked to face to face about it) was to cut out the carbs. No breads, No pastas, No Junkfood (sweets), no Rice, No cereals…..Carbs are a PCO womans worst enemy. I lost weight and got pregnant after 6 years of trying just by losing the carbs. When i ate the carbs again i gained the weight back and couldnt get pregnant, cut the carbs out again and got pregnant again. I was trying to lose weight this time around (not get pregnant but it happened anyways) so I started backing off the carbs, now I am due Oct 10th.
i was told when i was 17 that i had pcos and that my chances of having children were slim to none….well then why am i raising a 2 year old right now. its very possible to get pregnant on your own it might just take a little longer that’s all. and as fare as clomid goes that’s just to make you ovulate and that what you want to happen.
so don’t get all down yet you still have Lott’s of time!
good luck!
I was diagnosed when I was 14 years old, I am now going on 36.
No children as of yet. The last few years I have been getting my period every month, but they tend to be 30-40 days apart. I went and saw an OBGYN and he wanted to put me on the pill and then told me when I was ready to try for kids to let him know. He told me it is hard for PCOS women to get pregnant, but that they do have kids. I know that chlomid is prescribed to thousands of women so it must be safe and I know that it is what helps them get pregnant. I know that I am going to try whatever my soon to be husband’s insurance will cover, but if we can’t afford a procedure, I will have to face the fact that I might not ever be able to have my own children. I think that you should try what ever you are able to, but be prepared if you are not going to be able to conceive . I wish you all the luck in the world!
