Today I was diagnosed with PCOS, How long will it take us to conceive?
I’ve spoken to my doctor but my gynocologist appointment can’t be for another month. We’ce always wanted a big family of 5 children, Is this still possible with my condition? We’re only a young engaged couple but we’re very much ready for the family life. Im worried ill have to settle for only one or two children which i know would still be an amazing blessing but i would love more. Any help with this answer will be appeciated as I really dont know how long it will take us to conceive.

It's called "Pregnancy Miracle" I've read the whole thing (all 250 pages) and there's some great information in there about how to naturally get pregnant without drugs, surgery or any kind of gimmicks. I highly recommend it - it's very honest and straightforward without all the hype and b.s. you see all over the net these days. Hi I have PCOS! I didn’t know until last spring that i did… i found it odd that my husband and i for the lst year and a half never used any protection and werent trying to prevent it but werent trying too hard so i went to my doctor to have some test run i found out i have pcos and i decided last may to check into a fertility specialist…he started me on metformin and then a few weeks later i started my first round of clomid and trigger shots! well i did it for 4 months 50mg,100mg,150mg the last 2 months and trigger shots it wasnt til the 4th month we decided to try and iui and to our surprise it worked!! It could not have happened at a more perfect time because we had decided if it didnt work this month since my husband has his surgery thursday we would wait to try again at the beginning of the year!!
i had my iui done on the 1st of oct. i had gone in sept 29th i had 3 good eggs 24,27,28mm and my progestrone was at a 35 that following week i went back to have it checked my hubby had 60million good after wash and my estrogen was at 1218! I waited til the 13th and took a test it was pos! I took another one on the 14th and went to my doctor on the 15th my beta hcg levels was at 142 i went back on the 17th and they were 332 and went back on the 23rd and they were at 3555! we go wed for our 6 week check up and thrusday morning to the hosptial for my husbands surgery!! we are so blessed it happened when it did!!
BEST OF LUCK AND TONS OF BABY DUST TO YOU!!! I will pray that things work out in your favor take care of yoruself!
You can still conceive with pcos but you may need medical help to do it. Sometimes clomid alone can help conceive or sometimes you can just do it on your own. I tried clomid and I ovulated but I didn’t get pregnant. I tried it for 4 cycles. Finally we went to a fertility specialist and we did an IUI (intrauterine insemination) with injectable medications. I got pregnant on the first try with twins. If you are overweight, try to drop a few pounds and that may help you ovulate on your own. Also, eat healthy and start taking prenatal viatmins. I have a mild case of pcos, (polycystic ovaries on ultrasound and lack of ovulation are my only symptoms). It really depends on how severe your symptoms are. Best of luck and don’t be afraid to seek medical help if it means that much to you to have a family.
It takes everyone different amounts of time to conceive. My husband and I have been trying for a year now and only had one chance to actually get pregnant (only had one ovulatory cycle). I’ve also known some woman with PCOS who get pregnant right away. Just depends on how bad your is. You should still be able to have as many children as you want.. it might just take a little more time and effort.
If you have any other questions… I found a site called soulcysters.net
The gals there are great and a great resource. Plus they know what you’re going through.

I was diagnosed with PCOS back in 2007. I went through 6 rounds on Clomid and never ovulated. I got discouraged with the doctor. I felt he was not interested in helping. I eventually quit going and am waiting for the new doctor to call and schedule an appointment.
I met a lady this summer that tried for 3 years and was on 4 different medications before she was able to get pregnant.
