I have a friend in the UK with PCOS and it is a pain to get treated esp if you are young. Here are some tips to do on your own

1. read and learn to recognize the signs of ovulation. This will help you pinpoint when or if you are ovulating
2. lose weight (if you are overweight). Even losing 5-10 lbs can greatly increase your fertility while having PCOS
3. Follow a low carb, high fiber/protein diet. Try to limit yourself to 9 carbs a day. 15gms of carbs = 1 carb. Stick with complex carbs like whole grains and brown rice. Stay away from white potatoes and rice and bread if possible
4. Consult your dr about getting put on metformin/glucophage. This drug can help with your fertility when you have PCOS. It also helps facilitate the weight loss that is harder to acheive when you have PCOS. Good luck

I have PCOS and there are two websites that have helped me alot. Soulcysters.net and DailyStrength.org. Soulcysters is a message board just for PCOS and is a great help. Daily strength helps with alot of other things including PCOS and you can write journals privately or make them public. I am not sure what else you are asking about ... but I am on Metformin... you may want to ask your dr about that. I have also been on clomid in my quest to conceive. Hope this helps.
