I have an appointment with my OB in April because that is when I want to seek my options but I also am doing some research of my own so that come time for my appointment I know what she is talking about. I just want to know what my odds are in conceveing and not. Especially with my PCOS.

| "Have You Seen Lisa Olson's new Pregnancy System yet? It's called "Pregnancy Miracle" I've read the whole thing (all 250 pages) and there's some great information in there about how to naturally get pregnant without drugs, surgery or any kind of gimmicks. I highly recommend it - it's very honest and straightforward without all the hype and b.s. you see all over the net these days. I haven’t personally taken Clomid, but I know women who have had success with it. I believe that in women with PCOS, the most important key to becoming pregnant is losing weight or maintaining a healthy weight. I was diagnosed in ‘05 and was told I would never have children. I began 2000mg of Metformin and began the South Beach Diet and lost 30lbs in 3 months. Shortly after, I found out I was pregnant.
When I was first diagnosed, I joined an online support group. There are hundreds of women there with PCOS and over 2,000 members who have had success with clomid. If you would like to check it out, the site it free and you may be able to here personal experiences from women who have taken clomid. http://dailystrength.org/treatments/Clomid
Don’t be discouraged. I have no doubt you will be blessed with a baby when the time is right.
Clomid helps alot of women with PCOS. Your doctor may put you on metformin before the clomid though. Metformin is a diabetic medication and helps the insulin resistance associated with PCOS which in turns helps you ovulate.
I have PCOS and 50mg was enough to make me ovulate. Unfortunately, 50mg was also enough to overstimulate my ovaries too and the cycle that I got overstimulated I got pregnant… with triplets. When you have PCOS you have a higher chance of being overstimulated with clomid so that is one big downfall. Make sure that your doctor monitors you right and that means he or she checks follicle production BEFORE you ovulate and does the day 22 progesterone checks and such. Good luck!
just because you have PCOS doesnt mean that you can;t concieve! Clomid will make you more fertile, and will ensure that you ovulate. But that is not certain, just a likely hood. You odds for concieving are still high hun, so don’t you dare give up hope! Baby dust
I know that Clomid is very effective for people with PCOS. My girlfriend was TTC for 3 1/2 years naturally with PCOS and then fell pregnant on her 3rd cycle of Clomid. I don’t have PCOS but have two daughters conceived on Clomid (days 2-6, 50mg). My first was conceived on cycle one and my 2nd conceived on cycle two. It was a miracle drug for me as we had no luck TTC naturally for no apparent reason. Good Luck!
