I'm sure it varies from state to state. I couldn't find the price for Michigan, but I found that an Ultrasound to evaluate the antral follicle counts and ovarian volumes costs $200.00. That price is from a IVF clinic in Chicago.

You can probably expect to pay close to that amount, give or take($125-250).

If it is deemed medically neccesary, your insurance company will cover it. But it sounds like this is a procedure related to IVF - which in most cases is not covered.

Do you mind if I ask how long you have been trying to conceive? Are you at a healthy weight? The reason I ask is because I was diagnosed with PCOS in 2005. I was told I would NEVER be able to have children. I ended up losing 30lbs and then I became pregnant. I know several women with PCOS who once down to a healthy weight, were able to conceive naturally. Don't be discouraged. If you ever need to talk you can email me at jennifermarek@rocketmail.com. Good luck to you!
