| "Have You Seen Lisa Olson's new Pregnancy System yet? It's called "Pregnancy Miracle" I've read the whole thing (all 250 pages) and there's some great information in there about how to naturally get pregnant without drugs, surgery or any kind of gimmicks. I highly recommend it - it's very honest and straightforward without all the hype and b.s. you see all over the net these days. I have pcos and started using OPKs last month. I agree with the other person that responded to chart your temps because yes you will spend a lot of money on OPKs.
I use mymonthlycycle.com to chart my periods and when I get close to the time I should be ovulating I use Answer brand OPK (They are about $20 for 20 sticks) so I don’t feel like I am wasting sticks and that way I can test 2 times a day (1 time in the morning and 1 in the evening).
I had trouble with lots of the "cheap" brands. My reproductive endocrinologist recommended Clear Blue Easy, and those seemed to work well for me.
If your cycles aren’t regular, and you don’t know if you’re ovulating, you might want to consider charting your temperatures instead. Otherwise you will be spending quite a bit of money on OPK’s!
Have you seen your doctor in regards to the PCOS? Are you on metformin? I had no luck conceiving for years while trying various infertility meds (clomid, injections, IUI, etc), but within 6 months of being put on metformin, I got pregnant.
I used them for over a year and not one turned positive for me. I figured it was because I wasn’t ovulating. But last month I took them days 9-17, all negative, and had a 21 day progeterone blood test done that was also negative. I was on Clomid. So before I started my new meds this month I took an at home pregnancy test like the doc says to, and surprise surprise, it was positive! I am 6 weeks pregnant, but we have no idea when I ovulate at all in my cycle, and those tests were no help to me. They can work, I know, but my advice is to have sex around the right times anyway, you never know what could pop up!
i have pcos, i take clomid, i would actually suggest charting your cervical mucus, if its not right your chances of conceiving are way lower, since being on clomid, i have done 2 months worth and right now im in the middle of my 2ww, but anyway, this is the most normal my cycle has ever been, and there are alternitives for clomid too, i read and if not preg this month ill try it next but soy isoflavones taken on day 3-7 or 5-9 of your cycle helps you to ovulate,i bought some from a dollar store, or you can find it at walmart, or vitex, got mine from vitamin store, it is supposed to regulate your cycle, both are cheap, and i hope this helps, good luck and baby dust to you
Do U guys get regular periods???
