Is it possible over time for the PCOS condition to become worse to the point it becomes impossible to conceive? Is it easier to conceive at first diagnosis with correct medical assistance than later on in the condition?

| "Have You Seen Lisa Olson's new Pregnancy System yet? It's called "Pregnancy Miracle" I've read the whole thing (all 250 pages) and there's some great information in there about how to naturally get pregnant without drugs, surgery or any kind of gimmicks. I highly recommend it - it's very honest and straightforward without all the hype and b.s. you see all over the net these days. Here's the website where you can get more information: Click Here --> Pregnancy Miracle |

As the first poster said, it depends. According my doctor who was speaking in general terms, it is progressive. That’s why so many women are now being diagnosed when it was virtually unheard of before, outside of simply a lack of knowledge.
Women were marrying by 18 or their earlier 20’s and having their children right away. The disorder did not affect them as much since they were younger.
Now, as women wait to have children, many discover to their dismay that they can’t conceive and are diagnosed.
There is hope. I was told in May 2006 that I wouldn’t have children, started treatment (including birth control), and was pregnant by November. When my son was five months old, I conceived the daughter that I am now carrying. She was conceived the first try after my starting back on my Metformin.
It varies from woman to woman. I have it and I conceived fine three times.
There are things you can do to help such as lose weight if you need to.
If PCOS is left untreated it could become worse, as far as not being about to concieve it doubt because it always IVF or IUI treatments.
I believe that if PCOS is left untreated, and just ignored, of course it will get worse if you do nothing to get better. The best thing for PCOS especially if you are IR (insulin resistent) is metformin. A healthy diet and excersise will go a long way too. If you are IR, try and go on a low carb diet, I have heard South beach diet is one of the best for PCOS.
If you are ttc now ask your doc to try clomid. Clomid is probably one of the cheapest fertility drugs and is best to start out on, if natural conception seems impossible.
Hope everything goes well for you!
Pcos wouldn’t make it hard to conceive in the furture if your being treated, Metfromin is a good med to take to treat your pcos becausel it helps lower your insulins level
