What kind of symptoms of PCOS can arrise in males?

I was told by an IVF specialist that symptoms of PCOS can also arrise in men/males.

She didnt explain how or what exactly, but I find it very hard to believe that men could suffer any symtoms of PCOS, as they do not have ovaries.

Does anyone know any better than I do?

I have been to the doctors and waiting for blood results to get back. My doctor said I could have PCOS because I am experienceing all the pregnancy symptoms and the hpt keeps coming up negative so until the blood results come back I will not know but is it possible to be pregnant and have PCOS?….My other questions is can a person be pregnant even though all test come back negative?…I have heard of some people doing the hpt and blood test and still came back negative and was told by their doctor that they were not pregnant but in turn 9 months later they had a baby so is it positive?

I am getting ready to start another cycle of injecables with IUI, I am wondering if adding in accupuncture would be worth it? I have PCOS with no regular cycles, I have gotten pregnant before, but lost triplets at 22 weeks due to incompetant cervix.

How long should a married couple with PCOS?

try to conceive before looking into adoption? I have already tried Metformin and Clomid for the PCOS and it didnt do anythign but make me sick. Hubby and I have been ttc for 16 mnths (6 mnths not preventing). I had no problem getting pregnant with my daughter, who is from a previous marriage. How long should we "ttc or not prevent" before looking into adoption?

I’ve had PCOS since I was 16 yrs. old. I had my daughter in August 2008 and since then have had lumps form under my armpits and groins. My dermatologist says its due to PCOS causing a hormone imbalance in my body.

Are there other women with PCOS who have this condition or similar experiences? How do you deal with it?
